Ward II: Lea Loudon
Councilmember Lea Loudon was elected to the Mission City Council November of 2021 and currently serves as the Chair of the Community Development Committee. Her previous involvement in community service includes representing Ward II on the Capital Improvement Program Committee as well as the Parks, Recreation and Tree Commission. She is an advisory board member for the Metropolitan Community College-Penn Valley Project Success-TRIO Student Support Services Program.
Professionally, Councilmember Loudon is employed with Cornerstones of Care as program manager for Show Me Healthy Relationships. This program facilitates free relationship education classes in Missouri for singles in an effort to prevent domestic violence and child abuse. Councilmember Loudon has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of St. Mary.
In her free time, Councilmember Loudon enjoys gardening, reading, traveling and going on outdoor adventures with her family. Lea, her husband, and four children have been residents of Mission for over 20 years. All of their children have attended Rushton Elementary school Shawnee Mission North High School.
