Every four years the City aims to gather residents’ opinions and feedback on City programs and services to help City leaders prioritize future action. ETC Institute administers the survey, which is statistically valid and mirrors similar benchmarking surveys conducted throughout the region. The survey is mailed to a random sampling of households, and ETC Institute follows up the mailing with phone contact until a representative sample of at least 400 surveys is collected. Questions remain largely the same from survey to survey in order to create trend data.
The first survey was administered in 2007, with subsequent surveys in 2011 and 2015.
