December 2024 – Mission Market Holiday Pop-Up At Holiday Lights and Festive Sights

Applications are now open for makers and artists for the City of Mission’s Holiday Lights and Festive Sights event on Friday, December 6, 2024. Located in the heart of downtown Mission, the popular holiday event features the Mayor’s tree lighting, pictures with Santa, family activities, musical performances, strolling carolers, s’mores and hot chocolate stations, fire pits and more. This year, we are expanding our Mission Market Holiday Pop-up, featuring handmade goods from local artists and makers (including ready-to-eat and shelf stable food items). A limited number of spots are available! Please fill out the online application, acceptances will be notified no later than Oct. 31.

I understand that pending acceptance of my application, my spot will only be reserved upon receipt of the vendor fee of $25.00, payable to City of Mission. Payment details provided upon acceptance of application.

If licensing or inspections are required for my products, I can confirm that they are in compliance and up to date.

I understand all federal, state and local laws governing retail sales tax must be followed. I have completed or will complete by event date the required documents to report sales tax figures to the Kansas Department of Revenue. (If you need help establishing a sales tax ID record, please contact the market coordinator).

I have read the K-State Research and Extension Food Safety for Kansas Farmers Market Vendors: Regulations and Best Practices and can confirm that my products and practices meet the standards outlined in the document.

I understand that as part of regular promotion of the market, City staff will be taking photos at the market of vendors and their products and using them on the City website, on social media and in other promotional materials.

Our vendors bring you the best in fresh and local produce, native plants and flowers, baked goods, salsas, jams, homemade soaps and lotions, and more from local makers and artists. Vendor applications will reopen in the spring of 2025 for the 2025 market season. Please check back then if you are interested in becoming a Mission Market vendor.
