Mission Kids Maker’s Night 2026

Mission Market is back for its twelfth season, this time with an exciting new opportunity for the young entrepreneurs in our community.

We will host our first ever Kids Maker’s Night on July 16, 2026, from 4:30-8:00 pm at the Mission Market at Broadmoor Park.

Purpose of the Kids Market

This event gives youth in our community the opportunity to display their talents and learn what it’s like to run their own business. The goal is to build confidence while learning responsibility.

This market is 100% kid-centered. Participants are expected to:

  • Create all products themselves
  • Make decisions about pricing, displays, and sales
  • Interact with customers and manage their booth independently

While parents and caregivers are welcome to support and encourage their child, the Kids Market is not intended for children to sell products on behalf of any adult (even if the child keeps the money earned). Booths must clearly reflect a kid-run business, both in scale and operation.

Participation

  • Makers must be between 8-17 years old and able to run their booth with little to no adult assistance.
  • Youth are expected to be the primary creators, decision-makers, and sellers.
  • Participants may choose to run their booths individually, or they can team up with friends or siblings in groups no larger than 3 children.
  • While our young makers are expected to run their booth independent of adult help, we do require a responsible adult caregiver to remain on site at Broadmoor Park for the entirety of the event.
  • Adults are encouraged to step in for safety or support at any time.
  • Mission Market reserves the right to remove any participant who does not follow event guidelines or whose booth does not reflect a youth-run business.
