Prescription Drug Drop-Off

Please do not dispose of unused or unwanted prescription drugs in the regular trash or down the drain. Misplaced prescription drugs can contribute to drug addiction and abuse. Flushing medicine down the toilet or disposing of it loose in the trash can cause environmental damage. Instead, area residents may drop them off at the permanent drop-box location at the Mission Police Department.

The box is available 8 AM – 5 PM Monday through Friday.

Items not accepted:

• Loose pills
• Needles
• Liquids
• Aerosols

Please do not use this service for vitamins. Secure vitamins in their packaging and dispose them in the trash. Do not flush them or any medications in the toilet.

Collection is anonymous. Police staff will burn the items collected in an incinerator for safe disposal.
