Rock Creek Corridor Study Phase II

The City of Mission is moving forward with Phase II of the Rock Creek Corridor Study, focusing on ways to improve the Rock Creek Trail between Woodson Road and Metcalf Avenue. The study will also consider the Martway corridor from Woodson to Metcalf. This project is supported through the Planning Sustainable Places (PSP) program, with funding awarded by the Mid-America Regional Council (MARC).

In Phase I, the City looked at the eastern section of the trail, from Woodson Road to Roeland Drive. That work set the foundation for future improvements, identifying opportunities to make the corridor safer, more accessible, and better connected.

The Rock Creek Trail and Martway Street are important routes in Mission, linking neighborhoods, businesses, and community spaces. Together, they play a central role in how people move through and experience our city.
Phase II is being completed in partnership with Wilson & Company, building on lessons learned in Phase I and exploring new opportunities for the western corridor.

Community input is at the heart of this study. Your ideas will help shape the plan and ensure future improvements reflect Mission’s values. Together, we can create a corridor that is safe, connected, and vibrant for years to come.
