Fall is a popular time for home improvement projects, and the City of Mission wants to help you get started on the right foot. We’ve recently updated our permit handouts and resources to make the process easier for residents and contractors.

What to Know Before You Build:

• Most renovation or construction projects require a building permit.

• Inspections must be scheduled through GovBuilt at least 48 hours in advance.

• Contractors must be licensed through the Johnson County Contractor Licensing.

• Updated handouts are available for common projects like sheds, basement finishes, pools, garages, and more.
