As the seasons change and leaves begin to fall, it’s important to stay on top of yard maintenance to help keep Mission’s neighborhoods clean and our storm drains clear. Here are a few quick reminders for the season:

Keep Leaves Out of Streets and Drains
When leaves accumulate in the street or near storm drains, they can cause clogs and flooding during heavy rain. Please help by keeping leaves contained to your yard or properly bagged for collection.

Weekly Yard Waste Collection
Residents can set out up to 10 yard waste items each week alongside regular trash service. This includes bags, bundles, or containers clearly marked for yard waste.

Extra Stickers Available
If you need additional yard waste stickers, they’re available for $1.50 each at City Hall (6090 Woodson St.) or the Powell Community Center (6200 Martway St.).

Sustainable Yard Care
Consider mulching leaves, grass clippings, and small branches as an eco-friendly way to reduce waste and enrich your garden soil.
