The Mission Community Food Pantry continues to be a vital resource for families in our community. As the need for food assistance grows, the pantry anticipates serving even more households in the months ahead—and is working hard to plan accordingly. Your support can help ensure every family in Mission has access to nutritious food and a helping hand when times are tough.
How the Pantry Helps
Located at Trinity Lutheran Church, the Mission Community Food Pantry provides food distributions twice a month, offering both staple grocery items and fresh food when available.

Ways to Support the Pantry
There are several ways community members can help keep the Mission Community Food Pantry running strong:
1️⃣ Food Donations
Bring donations to Trinity Lutheran Church (5601 W. 62nd St. Mission, KS 66202) and place them in the blue barrel between the main entrance doors.
If you’re bringing a large donation, please call ahead to schedule a drop-off appointment.
2️⃣ Dollar Donations
Financial contributions help stretch resources even farther. To donate online, visit the pantry’s webpage and click the “Give” button:

3️⃣ Organize a Donation Drive
Businesses, neighborhoods, or community groups are encouraged to host a food or donation drive for the pantry.
4️⃣ Mail a Check
Make checks payable to Trinity Lutheran Church and note “PANTRY” in the memo line.

💛 United Way’s SNAP Into Action Campaign
The United Way of Greater Kansas City is launching an emergency campaign to address food insecurity throughout the region.

Make a financial donation to support the campaign at https://give.unitedwaygkc.org/v/snap-into-action. 100% of donations will go toward immediate hunger relief.

Join a volunteer event to help pack non-perishable meal kits that will be distributed to local nonprofit partners.
