The utility updates and relocations are complete, and we’re ready for the next phase. Reconstruction work on Johnson Drive between Metcalf and Lamar will begin Monday, August 17.

This project will revitalize the aging four-lane corridor with new pavement and curbs, stormwater improvements, wider sidewalks, native plantings, new streetlights, and updated traffic signals, all designed to improve connectivity, reduce congestion, and make Johnson Drive safer and more accessible for everyone.

We know construction can mean some temporary headaches, and we appreciate your patience as we Pave the Way for a better Johnson Drive. We will continue to provide updates as the project moves from one phase to another. In Phase I, you can expect to see the interior lanes in both directions of Johnson Drive closed first to allow for median removal.
