Mission Police Department is proud to announce its participation in The Blue Envelope Project. This is a voluntary program designed to improve communication between first responders and individuals who are autistic, neurodiverse, or have other communication or sensory considerations.

It helps police, firefighters, and emergency medical personnel quickly recognize when someone may need a different approach, creating a safer and more supportive interaction for everyone involved.

Participants can pick up free program materials — including blue envelopes, informational cards, and vehicle decals that help first responders quickly identify communication needs — to use during traffic stops or emergency situations.

These resources are available at the Mission Police Department and are offered at no cost to individuals and families.
