We are currently looking to fill the following roles:

Special Projects Coordinator
Department: Administration
This role is responsible for planning, promoting, implementing, and coordinating the City’s annual farmers market, The Mission Market, during the spring and summer, as well as assisting with other events and projects throughout the year. This part-time, benefits eligible position also contributes to a variety of the city’s communications pieces including generating content for the Mission Magazine and the City’s monthly email newsletter, and helping curate content, post on, and monitor social media channels.

Building Official
Department: Community Development
This role is responsible for oversight of the Building Safety Services division. They will perform commercial and residential plan review, field inspections, and technical work in connection with the enforcement of City codes and ICC building codes. The Building Official will oversee and direct the work of the Building Inspector and Administrative Assistant/Permit Technician.

Administrative Assistant/Permit Technician
Department: Community Development
This role is responsible for administrative and technical duties in support of the department, specifically the Building Official and City Planner.

Membership Services Lead at Powell Community Center
Department: Parks + Recreation
This person will focus on day-to-day membership-related operations, provide core oversight of membership records, financial transactions, and select supervisory tasks related to membership. The position is structured at 30 hours per week, with benefits, and pro-rated leave time and will include a minimum of one weekend shift.

Maintenance Worker I
Department: Public Works
You will join a great team while performing a variety of outdoor work tasks as a Public Works Maintenance Worker. You will receive on the job skills and CDL training, clothing allowance and safety gear, and potential opportunity for a career progression track (Maintenance Worker I, II, and III).
These positions are full-time or par-time depending on the role, and come with a comprehensive benefits package. As part of the Mission team, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents and contributing to the success of our city.
