
Clear out the clutter and help protect our planet! The City of Mission, along with our neighboring communities, invites residents to join us for a Community Recycling Event on Saturday, October 11, from 9:00 a.m. to Noon at Nations Holding (9001 W. 67th St., Merriam, KS 66202).
This event is a great opportunity to safely dispose of unwanted items, recycle responsibly, and give back to the community — all in one stop!
Free Paper Shredding
Protect your personal information by securely shredding sensitive documents — at no cost!
You can bring items like:

Bank statements
-
Tax returns
-
Credit card receipts
-
Other confidential papers
Details:

Limit: 10 file storage boxes (1’ x 2’) per household

All binders, containers, and cardboard boxes will be returned after shredding
Electronics Recycling
Don’t let your old electronics gather dust — recycle them responsibly with Secure e-Cycle.
Fees (Cash Only):

$25 for computers

$40 for TVs
All other items with a cord are FREE to recycle.

Eyeglass Donations
Bring your used eyeglasses to support the Shawnee Lions Club’s “Recycle for Sight” Program. Your donation can help someone in need improve their vision and quality of life.
