Celebrate the City of Mission’s 75th Anniversary by participating in the Mission Downtown Window Decorating Contest!

Downtown Mission businesses are invited to transform their storefront windows with 75th Anniversary festive displays that showcase community pride and help create excitement leading up to the Mission Street Dance.

To participate, simply complete the brief interest form below by Monday, August 10, to reserve your spot on the official contest ballot. Participating businesses will be featured in the City’s promotional efforts, including social media and other community outreach, encouraging residents and visitors to explore Downtown Mission and vote for their favorite display.

Contest Timeline

• Interest form deadline: Friday, August 28
• Window displays completed by: Tuesday, September 1
• Public voting: September 1–23
• Winners announced: September 26 at the Mission Street Dance and recognized on the City’s website and social media the following week.

Contest Guidelines

• Decorating is free to enter.
• Contest is open to businesses with storefront windows located in Downtown Mission along Johnson Drive between Lamar Avenue and the Mission Transit Center.
• Winners will be selected entirely through public online voting.
• Every participating business will receive:
• A commemorative Mission 75th Anniversary window cling.
• Recognition through City social media.
• A feature in the December issue of Mission Magazine.
• Cash prizes will be given to a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners and will receive additional recognition (to be announced).
