Mail Ballot Election Town Hall

Join in-person or online to learn more about the upcoming mail ballot election. This September, Mission voters will be asked to consider renewing a dedicated 3/8-cent parks and recreation sales tax that has been in place since 2013.

City staff will share information on the projects that would be supported by the revenues generated by the sales tax, if it is renewed, particularly in Mission’s outdoor parks. The current sales tax expires in 2023 no matter the outcome of this election. The deadline for registering to vote is August 30. Mail ballots should arrive to registered voters around September 2 and are due back by noon on Tuesday, September 20, 2022.
