Sports Field Rental Policies and Procedures
Individuals or groups requesting use of a playing field for a manner consistent with its normal use may make application for consideration to the Mission Parks and Recreation Department rental coordinator at the Sylvester Powell Jr., Community Center or by calling 913-722-8215.

RESERVATIONS
Reservations are not finalized until the rental agreement application process has been completed and full payment has been received. (Proof of insurance listing the City of Mission, Kansas as an additionally insured may be required by “structured” organizations utilizing the fields).
Fields are available for rental on the first business day of January for spring/summer sports seasons (March 1 - June 30) and on the first business day of June for the fall sports season (July 1 - October 31). Fields are not available for reservations from November 1 through February 29.
Fields may be rented between 8:00 am and 8:00pm daily. Fees are $5 per hour for Mission residents and $10 per hour for non-residents. Proof of residency is required for all rentals and full payment is due at the time of booking.
Cancellation of any field reservations must be made 14 days prior to the function, or the fee for the date(s) cancelled will be forfeited.
Refunds will not be given due to inclement weather; however, rental dates or times may be moved if available.
RULES CRITERIA
The City is not responsible for accidents, injury, illness or loss of group or individual property.
The City of Mission reserves the right to cancel any permit due to severe or potentially dangerous weather conditions.
Permit holders are responsible for cleanup including but not limited to; disposal of trash to trash receptacles.
Storage facilities are not provided for permit holder’s use.
Northeast United Soccer Club retains first priority and will have access to Mohawk Park for practice Monday through Friday and for games on Saturday and Sunday during both of the rental seasons. NEU will be held to the same fee structure as all other user groups.
Charging of a “gate” or admission fee to any event held in any of the Mission city parks is prohibited.
Alcoholic beverages are prohibited in all city of Mission parks.
