Banquets/Reception Packages - Conference Center Rooms C/D/E:


Conference Center Rooms C, D & E can accommodate 120-200 for receptions. Meeting Rooms A, B with Adult Lounge can be reserved for a Ceremony (Seating for up to 128, additional $90/hr) and the Conference Center Rooms for the reception.

Friday/Sunday Reception Packages
Conference Center C, D & E:  $1395 PLUS ($400 security deposit)

 

Saturday Reception Packages
Conference Center C, D & E: $1900 PLUS ($400 security deposit) 


The Reception Package includes: the Catering Kitchen (Open Catering Policy), Advanced Set-up/decorating time (starts at 7:00am), 6 Hours for Event, table and chair set-up, White Linen table covers, Audio-Visual Equipment, the Dance Floor, After Hours Staff and use of the kegerator.  Event time allowable is 6 hrs. 

Event time allowable is 6 hrs; event must conclude by 11:30pm, leaving 30 minutes to clean-up and remove all decorations from the room.  Party is responsible for getting trash into the trash cans and removing everything brought in by 12:00am.

Separate Room for Bride/Groom - $30/hr
Pipe and Drape - $250
Prefer to decorate the day before your reception?  For $250, you can access the rooms for decorating the day before (Friday/Saturday reception packages only - dependent on available space).

Security Deposit - Payment of the security depoist is due to reserve the room, it is non-refundable if you should cancel the reservation, refundable 1-2 weeks following the event as long as the room is left as it was when you got there. Half of the Total Balance is due 3 Months prior to reservation. Payment in full is due 3 weeks prior to event. (Security Deposit is non-refundable if the reservation is canceled or transferred to another date. If reservation is canceled less than 120 days before the reservation, money paid is non-refundable. If reservation is canceled greater than 120 days before the reservation, money paid can be transferred to a new date (with a new Security Deposit). 


Alcohol - Alcohol is permitted at the Sylvester Powell Jr. Community Center.  If you have 100 or fewer guests no officer will be required.  If you have 101-200 guests then 1 off-duty Mission police officer is required at the clients expense. If you have more than 200 guests then two officers are required. The fee is $35 or $40 per hour (holiday rate), per officer and they must arrive 15 minutes before your event and must stay 15 minutes after your event is over. Payment must be received two weeks before the event and checks are made payable to the officers. Alcohol must be given away, no cash bars or tip jars allowed. Confetti, glitter, and tape of any kind are prohibited and use of these items will result in automatic forfeiture of security deposit.
    
Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times while in the community center. Children may not roam the halls of the facility.
