Classes and Programs
The City of Mission Parks and Recreation Department (MRPD) strives to offer a well-balanced program with innovative classes and recreation opportunities to patrons at reasonable prices.
Promoting healthy lifestyles, offering enriching leisure services and overall wellness is our commitment to our patrons.
The Sylvester Powell Jr. Community Center offers more than 100 classes and programs per month. Classes are open to everyone even if you are not a member of the facility.
Open volleyball, indoor playground, special events, senior programs and tours and Club MP are examples of social programs that are provided by the department. Other recreational programs include summer camps, break camps, safety town, Red Cross swim lessons, foot care clinics, flu shot clinics and Track Treaders.
