The City of Mission is committed to the preservation and renewal of neighborhoods. The
Neighborhood Grant Program provides up to $500 to help resident-based groups
build and preserve community through various programs and activities.
Many neighborhoods host ice cream socials, block parties, and other large-scale events with the help of Neighborhood Grant funding. The funds can also be used to start neighborhood newsletters, email lists, and sponsor other community-building activities.
10 grants are available for the 2010 calendar year; they are typically awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
Please note that the contact for this program has changed. Leslee Fonseca has moved to Director of Public Works, and the Neighborhood Grant program is now being administered by Josh Rauch, Neighborhood Services Coordinator.
